More folklore; Gamayun are Russian bird/woman hydrids who serve as omens and are icons of wisdom and knowledge.  It is also said that when they die, they become archangels.

I keep remembering I want to write a story about a gamayun who falls in love with a woman who she sings about that will be dying soon. Can’t decide if it’d just end sadly or if the gamayun tries to goes against fate and save the woman.
